After receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree with majors in Chemistry, Mathematics, and his Ph.D in Physical Chemistry. Dr. Hunter committed his career to the professional haircare industry.
For 37 years Dr.Hunter led research in ionic and covalent bonding of hydrolyzed polypeptides, neutral zone pH, color and revolutionary styling products. It is with great passion that QAI by ProDesign carries the vision of hairdressers and gives them and their clients superior professional only haircare products.
Dr. Lee Hunter, Ph.D was the first Chemist to Photograph the Macrofibrils inside of hair.

Dr.Hunter is a legendary chemist who pioneered many breakthroughs in hair science and formerly Senior Vice President of Research and Development for RedKen and was accredited to the development of Shades EQ and CAT before they sold to L’Oreal. Dr.Hunter was personal friends with Founder Paula Kent

Valdez Oil Spill
Dr.Hunters legacy extends beyond when he helped rescue endangered Otters after the Exxon Valdez Oil spill by creating a synthetic Sebum that imitated the Otters natural hydrophobic coating and allowed the Otters to be released back into the water. QAI seeks to create a beauty that restores life and carries on Dr.Hunter's legacy of giving back to our oceans.
